The aerodynamic form and the aeronautical details are the key components of this dynamic, light-body, aluminium writing instrument. This pen will definetely raise the pulses of flight fanatics. Montegrappa has incorporated several details of an aircraft into this pen: the mock-riveted panels, the landing gear and the nose cone are the most visible features that will offer a soaring writing performance. With the pen comes a pen case which looks like a vintage flight goggles, a perfect place for this Aviator pen to be stored.

The entire body of the Aviator’s Pen has specific design details in the looks of the aviation industry. Montegrappa’s artisans have finished the pen with “stitching”-style rows of “planks” secured with minuscule rivet heads and with fuel tank apertures. The “Remove before Flight” and “No Step” commands are perfect etched along the pen. The signature clip is a combination of complex technical design which refers to a landing gear struts with the classic Montegrappa rotating sphere re-imagined as a knurled ferrule.

This writing instrument is made of aluminium and it has palladium plated trims. The Medium nib is made from stainless steel. The pen can either be used with cartridges or with a converter and ink bottle (a converter is already included with the pen).

This limited edition fountain pen by Montegrappa is inspired by iconic the tradition of cognac aging, rooted in Limousin en Tronçais. Oak barrels have a major impact on both the taste and color of the alcoholic beverage, and are thus carefully crafted and selected.

What makes the Cognach Hors D'Age fountain pen differ from other limited editions is the unique material. The pen is made of solid oak that is shaped true to an oak tree's deepest roots. Therefore, the wood is constructed to lay comfortable in one's hand, yet returning to the essence of nature. 

Furthermore, the pen is finished with sterling silver accents to merge these two sturdy materials tegether into an arranged marriage. The pen's body is decorated with a grape vine illustration and the iconic Montegrappa loge which is engraved with a special technique that is called 'pyrogravure', and topped with a trasparent resin layer. The nib is made of 18kt gold finished special engraving and has a Medium nib size. 

The pen is extremely limited, only 50 pieces have been made world wide. This is number 12/50.
